Research interest
My research has been focused on investigating the role of heating rate in achieving synergistic effect by combining chemotherapy and sub-lethal hyperthermia in cancer treatment. The goal is to overcome chemo resistance by combining these two treatment modalities. At current stage, I am working with organic heat absorbers such as indocyanine green (ICG), IR820 because they can be used as both hyperthermia agent and fluorescent tracer and they can be easily incorporated into polymeric nanoparticles such as PLGA to achieve targeted delivery. I am also interested in metal heat absorbers such as gold nanoparticulates.
